The Wallace State golf program has been directed by coach Dan York since 1986. In York’s 21 years of leadership, the Lions have finished second in the nation in 1993 and 96 while taking third place in the nation in 1995. York also guided his teams to state and region championships in 1992, 93, 95, 97, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. The 2007 Lions completed a successful season after they won their local tournament while finishing second in the state and fourth in the district.
York has produced two PGA tour players in his tenure at Wallace State and 13 All-Americans. The Lions will co-host the 2008 NJCAA Golf Championship while returning two sophomores and bringing in six freshmen.
