Living on campus has many advantages. Wallace State’s residence halls provide an environment conducive to academic achievement and are conveniently located within walking distance to classrooms, the library, and other campus facilities. Residents often find that living in a dorm is a great way to become involved in student activities and make new friends.
Wallace State offers both men’s and women’s dormitories. The rooms are large and designed for double-occupancy, but a limited number of single rooms are available. Each room has two double beds, two study areas with storage units, a large walk-in closet and a private bath. Multiple laundry facilities are located in each residence hall with coin-operated washers and dryers.
Telephone and cable outlets are provided in each room and wireless internet access is available.
Our residence halls also provide community kitchen facilities. In addition, residents are allowed to have refrigerators and microwave ovens in their rooms. The WSCC cafeteria serves lunch Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The Student Center Grill also serves meals Monday through Friday, and has pool tables, recreation and meeting areas for students. A variety of restaurants are located adjacent to campus.
Dormitory fees are $775 per semester during fall and spring semesters and $550 during the summer semester.
A $200 security fee is due when application is made and refundable when the student moves out and no damage is assessed to the room. Dormitory rent must be paid prior to occupying the dormitory and at the beginning of each subsequent term. Rates are subject to change.
