About Wallace State Community College - Hanceville

Wallace State Community College is widely recognized for its tradition of excellence, comprehensive educational offerings and unique opportunities. Since 1966, Wallace State has provided students with quality, affordable education. Today, the college enrolls approximately 6,000 students and offers more than 50 programs of study in academic, health and technical programs in addition to an unlimited number of transfer options.

A blend of modern and old, Wallace is a charming campus spanning 250 acres, with 41 buildings.

Students are offered an education that is grounded in tradition yet fueled by innovation. The campus has the most advanced technology and state-of-the-art equipment available for teaching and training, and offers an ever increasing array of distance learning opportunities.

WSCC is setting new trends in education. Wallace State is proud of its University Center partnership with Athens State University, enabling students to complete junior- and senior-level classes leading to a baccalaureate degree, all on the Wallace State campus.

Accreditation

Wallace State is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, and Associate in Applied Science degrees.
