The WorkKeys® system from ACT is being implemented in high schools, community colleges, and adult education facilities across the country to help students become better prepared for the workforce. WorkKeys scores allow students to realize the importance of their studies. Students document their readiness for work, giving them an edge with the growing number of employers who accept or require WorkKeys scores from job applicants.

Students enrolled in the following programs at WSCC are required to complete the Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information, and Locating Information WorkKeys® assessments prior to graduation:

Agricultural Production
Automotive Body Repair
Automotive Mechanics

Commercial Food Services
Computer Science

Criminal Justice
Diesel Mechanics
Drafting and Design Technology

It is recommended that students take the assessments in one of their last two semesters of study, and after completing math and English courses.
