Wallace State encourages students to be involved in the political process. As a public institution, we rely on federal and state appropriations to bring our communities and our students the quality programs they desire and deserve to meet the demands of a 21st century American economy. Students are also affected by funding at the state and federal levels, especially with regard to financial aid. Wallace State was among a group of colleges and universities across the country that advocated successfully for year-round (summer) Pell Grants for students, which were reinstated in 2018 -- so that you can now enroll full time all three semesters in an academic year, and finish your degree sooner, while being eligible to receive full Pell each semester.
