MILLBROOK, Ala. – Wallace State women’s flag football continued its dominant start to the season on Sunday, rolling past Bishop State 50-6 at 17 Springs in Millbrook. The Lions (4-0) showcased a balanced attack, fueled by quarterback Emma Kile’s precision passing and a stifling defense that forced five interceptions.

First-Half Explosion

Wallace State struck first midway through the opening quarter after Jayla Rudolph’s second interception of the day set up a 10-yard touchdown pass from Kile to Taylor Kindred. The duo connected again late in the first on a 4-yard score to build a 13-0 advantage.

The Lions took full control in the second quarter. Kile connected with Mariah Ragland for a 7-yard touchdown just three plays into the period, stretching the lead to 18-0. Bishop State answered with a 66-yard touchdown strike, but Wallace quickly countered with a 34-yard Kile-to-Ragland score, pushing the margin to 27-6 after a two-point conversion.

From there, the Lions poured it on. Rudolph’s third interception led to another Ragland touchdown, this time from 16 yards out, and Carley Paschal’s interception set up a 1-yard scoring toss from Kile to Ma’Kyla Williams. By halftime, Wallace had put up 30 points in the second quarter alone and led 43-6.

Sealing the Victory

The Lions capped their scoring midway through the third quarter when Kile found Telicia Ransom for an 18-yard touchdown, securing the 50-6 win.
