ServSafe Manager
About the Course
Covers advanced food safety, HACCP principles, safe food handling, regulatory requirements,
and employee training. Participants receive an official ServSafe Manager Certificate
through the National Restaurant Association upon passing the proctored exam.
Course Format & Cost
The ServSafe Handler course is $175 and consists of 8 hours of training. It can be
completed online or in-person with a Wallace State instructor. Upon completion, students
will sit for the proctored ServSafe Exam with their instructor.
Who Should Take This Course?
- Restaurant and food service managers
- Supervisors responsible for staff training and compliance
- Culinary professionals advancing into leadership roles
- Alabama Health Code requires that at least one certified food protection manager be on duty during all operating hours in any food service establishment.
Admission Requirements
Participants must be 16 years of age or older. No high school diploma or GED required.
